One of the main points of the paper is that to be able to develop environmental education we need to be more aware of the most important aspects of the outcome of this type of education. Essential the teacher should enhance the democratic participation of the pupils and students and to prepare them to be active and knowledgeable citizens conserning the community’s development related to the environment. Perspectives that might be essential for coping with the climate crisis.
